T & Cs

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Invoice & Payments
(a) For new clients, 50% of the project fee must be paid before work can begin. The remainder is due upon completion of the project unless otherwise agreed with me, Design Stroke and you, the client.

(b) All payment details can be found at the bottom of the invoice. I prefer bank transfer as the primary payment method.

(c) International clients may be quoted in GBP (Great British Pounds) and are advised to bear this in mind when paying invoices.

(d) Outstanding payments are required no later than 14 days of receipt. Any watermarks will be removed once payment has been received in full.

2. Late Payment
(a) Design Stroke reserves the right to withdraw any copyright from you, the client, if payment isn’t received in full within 14 days or otherwise agreed deadline.

(b) If late payments persist, a 50% percent partial payment may be required upfront before work can begin on additional projects.

(c) If an acceptable reason hasn’t been agreed for a late invoice payment, all files and artwork produced will be revoked from any shared folders such as DropBox and Google Drive.

3. Proofing
(a) Design Stroke does not and will not produce any work for a client in hopes of being ‘picked’ to actually produce the ‘real’ project. All work created is fully chargeable whether it is used or not.

(b) Proofs will be sent via email and in some instances will feature a ‘Design Stroke’ watermark. Quotes may be increased if the artwork is not approved by the 3rd set of amendments. All artwork is quoted with an allowance of 3 lots of amendments. Further amendments will be quoted at my hourly rate in addition to the original price quoted.

4. Agreement
(a) Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Any use of my creative services implies you have visited my website, read and accepted these terms and conditions.

5. Additional Expenses
(a) Although rare, extras such as stock images, footage and fonts may be required for the completion of a project. You, the client, agree to pay for such requirements upfront. This will always be put to you with full explanation with an additional quotation.

6. Copyright & Liability
(a) You, the client, retain the copyright to all the design/artwork files provided by Design Stroke upon receipt of payment and permit the rights to publish and use the design files for self-promotion and marketing only on social media.

(b) It is also your responsibility to obtain permission and rights to use any information or copyrighted graphics by a third party which might be included in your project – this may be requested in writing. I hereby excuse myself from any liability from loss or damage caused by incorrect information being supplied.

7. Project Files
(a) All design files will be supplied on receipt of full payment. Files will be supplied at the highest resolution for the platform in which the project was initially showcased, whether that be for digital use or print. Any scaling or changes to suit a new platform will be chargeable.

(b) Print files will be supplied print-ready and hi-res. Files include: pdf, eps, psd, ai, indd, jpg, png, tiff

8. Backing Out
(a) All clients have the right to ‘change their mind’ about commissioning design work from Design Stroke, however, if design work has already been completed and proofs have been sent to you then a 50% cancellation fee (50% of initial quote) may be required unless otherwise discussed. You will also lose the right to use any of the artwork produced.
